My steampunk laser rifle "The Nautilus" inspired by Jules Verne.
I'm sure that Captain Nemo had a couple of these, stuffed somewhere in his dreaded U-Boat...
Damn, I'd really like that rifle so I could run around my house trying to act cool and go 'Pew pew! PEWPEW!!!' at my family.
I love THIS kind of steampunk. I mean, steampunk is steampunk but I love good, border-line cheesy, 40's dime-store sci-fi novel stuff like this. On top of that it's just gorgeous - the fact that the body is wood is incredible and the shape . . . jeez, it just blows me away. It is INSANELY clever. The little hook in the front protecting the fan is my favorite. :3 And the FAN! And the copper generator's and gauges. I mean, it REALLY looks like it could actually DO something. It's very impressive. For what it's worth, I love it.
I can use this to kill my most hated enemy; the repulsive Cape?Natal Moony!
KilroyMan, you made me have to Google 'Natal Moony'. I'm glad you like it.
Wicked! Nice shape.
I love how it looks like a fish
Excellent work. It makes me wish that I had a woodshop in my garage.
That right there, is cool.
Beautiful work! I love the swordfish-inspired profile!
The fact of steampunk is : replace every bit of technology by steam or coal technology. There can't be laser rifle in steampunk, but harpoon launcher or a real rifle, with powder.
Of course there can be lasers in steampunk! The just call them "aetheric oscillators" or "Tesla beam projectors" or some such.
Hey, this is a fine one! All hand-crafted for sure - which is the most important part for me!
Thanks! I enjoy making these from scratch. I do think some of the painted nerf guns look pretty cool too.
That looks fantastic. Great job and good use of detail pieces. The whole thing has an iconic profile and decidedly shows your inspiration. Well done.
I hadn't seen this one when I saw your other raygun, this one is even more fantastic. Great work. Wish I had a woodshop myself
